Support the building of new global growth companies
STING’s business accelerator helps entrepreneurs to build international growth companies faster. By offering support within business development, financing, and networking, we want to create the right conditions for our startups to conquer the world.
With the support of industrial experienced business coaches, we contribute so that new Swedish technology companies can grow and compete internationally and generate exports to Stockholm. Through our venture capital fund STING Capital and the investment network STING Business Angels, we also offer financing in the early stages.
STING evaluates 140-180 projects/companies per year, mainly within ICT, medtech and cleantech, but from a tough selection process, only 10-15 companies are adopted in our incubator. STING started its operations in 2002 and has to date contributed to some 30 Swedish technology company successes.
STING business process
Our business process is composed of five independent programs: Startup, Business Lab, Business Accelerator, Go Global and Go Global Medtech. All the programs focus on individual and international development of your business concept. The programs are designed for entrepreneurs and innovators from academia, research institutes and from the business sector.
Your business idea should have a strong international market potential and we work mainly with ideas within information and communication technology, medical technology and energy/environmental technology. But in the end it's not technology that sells but people. For admission to STING we require the right attitude and drive.
You will get an industrially experienced business coach who helps you around half a day per week with your project/company's business so that you can quickly reach the market and learn how to successfully sell. In addition, we open up our network of customers, partners and funders, and linking the right contacts for technology development.
We will increase your chances of getting funding. One of our missions is to find funding that does not dilute the founders' shareholdings, for example, by customer financing or grants from the public sector. But because it is costly to build technology companies, we have also created the unique venture capital fund STING Capital and the angel network STING Business Angels. You also get access to our funding program Kickstart and our contacts with private venture capital companies.
We help you build exactly the right network of competent persons and organizations. Thanks to our extensive network of contacts in the industry, we successfully match innovators with experienced entrepreneurs and helps to find a competent board. Our close collaboration with the Royal Institute of Technology, research institutions and all companies we cooperate with, enables us to help you with your product development and technology sparring.
